Important Safety Notice for MRI Patients

If you have cardiac pacemakers, metallic implants, metallic ocular fragments, or vascular clips, please notify our team prior to scheduling your appointment. Safety screenings will be conducted prior to entering the MRI zone.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Guidelines

  • No metal objects: Remove all jewelry, piercings, watches, hairpins, and glasses.
  • Inform technicians about medical implants: Pacemakers, artificial heart valves, cochlear implants, or aneurysm clips.
  • Clothing: Wear loose cotton clothes without metal zippers or buttons, or change into our sanitized gown.
  • Fasting: For abdominal/pelvic MRI, fast for 4-6 hours prior to scan. Normal water is permitted.
  • Claustrophobia: Inform our support staff if you experience claustrophobia; we provide open-bore accommodations and music assistance.

Contrast & Non-Contrast Scan Steps

  • Fasting for Contrast: Fast 4-6 hours prior if your CT scan requires IV contrast (CECT).
  • Kidney Function (Creatinine): Provide recent Serum Creatinine report for contrast studies.
  • Allergies: Inform the radiologist if you have any history of iodine or seafood allergies.
  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water before and after contrast injection to assist kidney clearance.
  • Diabetic Medications: Consult our doctor if you take Metformin prior to contrast scans.

  • Clothing: Wear two-piece comfortable clothing for easy abdominal access.
